Description
MD COMBAT Custom Boxing Vests are manufactured for the specific requirements of amateur boxing’s most fundamental uniform item. The boxing vest — worn in competition by amateur fighters from club level through to Olympic qualification — is a garment that must meet both regulatory standards and visual identity requirements simultaneously. It carries a fighter’s number, a club or national team’s colours, and in competition, it represents the entire programme behind the athlete. We manufacture boxing vests with the understanding that every detail matters.
Amateur boxing vests must conform to the technical standards set by World Boxing, the AIBA, and national boxing federations for competition use. Our vests are produced with the construction features these standards require: deep armhole cutouts for full shoulder and arm mobility during punching, a wide V-neck or scoop neck opening that does not restrict breathing or movement, a fitted but not constrictive torso that stays in place during active competition, and a hem that sits cleanly at or above the waistband of the boxing shorts without riding during movement. We can produce vests to specific federation technical packs on request and have supplied national team vests for federations across multiple continental markets.
Primary fabric for boxing vests is 100% woven polyester, optimised for sublimation printing. This delivers the vibrant colour saturation and sharp graphic reproduction required for competition identification — number blocks, national flag panels, club name panels, and background colour fields all reproduce with maximum clarity. Mesh polyester panels are commonly integrated at the side torso for ventilation in competition environments. Knit performance polyester is available for training vests where a softer, more flexible hand-feel is preferred over the structured woven finish.
Competition boxing vests are subject to specific number placement regulations — the fighter’s bout number must be clearly legible on both front and back of the vest. We produce vests with pre-printed number blocks in white, black, or a contrasting colour specified by the ordering federation or club, with number fields sized and positioned to meet regulatory requirements. Alternatively, we produce vest shells with blank number fields that are completed on-demand by the buyer’s own numbering system.
For training use and club merchandise, our boxing vest programme offers greater design freedom. Training vests are produced with full sublimation across all panels, allowing complex graphic designs, sponsor integration, fighter name printing, and social media handle placement — a growing request from gyms building their athlete personal brand programmes. These vests are frequently matched with boxing shorts to form a complete coordinated training kit.
